James Baxter Releases New Single ‘Auto Erotic’

“With our trousers round our ankles and our winkle pickers dangling from a noose in auto erotic asphyxiation or in other words, how to end your life as a fool”

This closing line from James Baxter’s latest single, ‘Auto Erotic’ doesn’t hold back in a similar fashion to his previous release, ‘Soap and Water’. Southampton’s grubbiest songwriter is back again with a new single that deals with regret and spiky discord with the surrounding world all finished with a dose of Baxter’s trademark wit and innuendo.

The dissonance within the track combined with the unconventional lyrics make this one of the more honest tracks in today’s music. Baxter’s ethereal ability and frictional finish gives this single a beautifully trembling shadow making its melancholic bones hard to forget.

After recently signing to Mi7 records in London, Baxter has played round the country, toured Ireland and this promises to be the first of a few releases before the end of the year with live favourite, ‘Take Out’ to be released at the end of September.
