The Rising Single Review
The Rising Tease Fans With New Single ‘Kaleidoscope
Eyes’
The Rising have
a highly anticipated second album approaching that can’t come quick
enough. To keep us teased at the thought of their album, this seven-piece have
released another single, ‘Kaleidoscope
Eyes’ to lube up their fans in preparation for what’s to come.
By further
exploring their new found love for synth psychedelia and perfecting it in a way
that make them sound like masters of their trade, it can only excite listeners
for what’s to come. This Southampton outfit have moved away from the sound of
mod/rock ‘n’ roll that was enjoyed so much on their debut, and ventured into
something a bit more experimental. The new sound is a risky move but one that
is seeming to pay off.
The track was recorded and mixed February last year and has been impatiently waiting to be released. With Scott Howells (Welsh 60s revivalist – The Broken Vinyl Club) appearing on the track, the lack of fear of evolving this band shows proves that risks do pay off. With evident 60s inspirations and a close-to-perfectly crafted song, The Rising are heading towards the success they deserve.

You could have
caught them at The Loft September 15th, but it sold out pretty quickly-
obviously. Keep your eyes peeled for more local dates as they are ones not to
be missed.
