False Heads Dive Down Punkier Route in 2018
False Heads Dive Down Punkier Route in 2018
Essex based trio, False Heads release
their first material of 2018 in the shape of new single, ‘Retina’.
Formed in 2016, False Heads
have quickly obtained industry attention and subsequently supported the likes
of The Libertines and Josh Homme. This single is the follow up to four previous
releases and is getting their 2018 started off with a punkier edge. Expect
jagged chords, scratchy vocals and an overall melody that has a darker charge.
Vocalist, Luke Griffiths spits, “Scratching
up the walls, begging’s better, seeping through my pores, dabbing on the sores,
set my retina off, tastes like metal” over a daunting strain, making this a
sleazier version of False Heads with them lacking the youthful innocence found
in songs such as ‘Steal and Cheat’.
The track is ballsy, heavy and
is begging to be played live. You can catch False Heads on tour with a link to
